Premium Pay Is a Two-Tier System
Philippine labor law splits extra pay for non-ordinary days into two separate layers. The first is a day-type multiplier applied to your first eight hours — this is what most people mean by "rest day pay" or "holiday pay." The second is an overtime multiplier that only kicks in past the eighth hour, computed on top of whatever day-type rate already applies. This calculator isolates the first layer — your premium pay — so you can see it without the overtime and night differential numbers mixed in.
For rest day pay specifically: your scheduled day off pays 130% of your daily rate if you're asked to work it. If that rest day happens to coincide with a special non-working day or a regular holiday, the multiplier stacks higher still — select the combined option in the dropdown above to see the exact figure.
